The World Cleanup Day is on Saturday 21 September 2019. In 2018, 18 million volunteers from 157 countries took part worldwide. Rotaracters in The Hague and surroundings continue! On June 25, the hottest day so far, they went to the beach to clean up plastic. A beach clean-up with a good result.
Purmerend gathered on 1 June to clear the environment of excess plastic. A call to participate was posted on www.pricknik.nl. The enthousiasm was overwelming. With 250 people in 13 groups they collected 253 kilos of waste.
